Accreditation

MSI is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditations (A2LA) in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard ISO/IEC 17025 (the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling).

A2LA was founded in 1978 as a non-profit, public service, membership society dedicated to the formal recognition of competent testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers and reference material producers.

MSI earned the prestigious Nadcap accreditation for materials testing laboratories. Administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), Nadcap is the leading global cooperative standards-setting program for aerospace engineering, defense and related industries. Its mission is to provide international, unbiased, independent manufacturing process and product assessments and certification services for the purpose of adding value, reducing total cost, and facilitating relationships between subscribers and suppliers.

In 2015, MSI laboratory was recognized and awarded GE S400 Special Process Certification (AI- Independent and International Metallic Material Lab). With this certification, MSI can now provide material testing support to suppliers of GE.

The MSI laboratory facility meets A2LA, ISO 17025, ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 standards.
